Druga Violina (Map)
Simple, home-made traditional Slovene dishes in a sweet old town setting at a fair price. A local community project employing people with special needs.
Moj Struklji (Map)
The best place to try out the "Slovene Dumpling" - Struklji. Sweet or savory, this place really take it to another level. Located in Plecnik's Colonade at the market, along the river.
Klobasarna (Map)
Small place specializing in one of Slovenia's trademark dishes - The Carniolan Sausage (kranjska klobasa). Located right in the Old Town, by the Cathedral

Centrally located Indian restaurant with delicious dishes for under 10 EUR.
PLACES TO VISIT AFTER FOOD
Ljubljana Castle - The best way to visit the castle is of course to join our Old Town & Castle Free Tour (we walk up), but if you're unable to or just going for the views, you can either go by Funicular (Map) or walk up from (Map)Boat Ride - Take a 50-minute boat-ride along ljubljana's beloved river, on the prettiest and only hand-made wooden river boat in town. Dont forget to present the card your guide gave you at the end of the tour for a free drink. (Map)
House of Illusions - A wonderful little place to visit, especially in the rain or if you are with kids. Will take you about an hour to get though th evarious illusions and rooms. Dont forget to present the Discount Card you received from your guide for a whopping 25% discount. (Map)
Tivoli Park - A beautiful and HUGE green oasis in the center of town, designed by UNESCO Architecht - Joze Plecnik. A happening place. (Map)
Parliament Buildings & Republic Square - This is where Slovenia was declared. Join our Communist Tour to make the most of it (Map)
Metelkova - An old Yugoslavian military base & prison turned into the heart of Ljubljana's alternative scene. Bring your camera by day for the most amazing Grafitti you've ever seen, party by night. (Map)
Spica - Laze around having a drink on green grass right on the Ljubljanica river. A great place to simply hang around with locals. Walk south along the river's eastern bank to reach it in 10 minutes from the old town. (Map)
Roznik - Green woods, excellent for light hiking, right in the city center, behind Tivoli Park. Easy trails. Lots of trees and even a Giant Ski Jump (Map)
