From the famous bridges to the castle above them. Our private 3-hour City & Castle Tour brings together Ljubljana’s must-see city sights and its hilltop landmark in one rewarding walk.
Begin in the centre, exploring the Old Town, riverside markets, cathedral and lively squares. Then head up to Ljubljana Castle for a different perspective on the capital. Choose the funicular or walk up with your guide; the uphill walk takes around 10–12 minutes.

Good to know
Before your walk
- Rain or shine. We don’t cancel for rain. Check the forecast and bring an umbrella.
- Choose your way up. Take the funicular or walk uphill for around 10–12 minutes. Funicular tickets are not included. Castle visits are fine in the rain, but walking up on foot in the rain is not advised.
- Mobility needs? Tell us in advance so we can discuss access and a suitable route.
- Comfortable shoes. Expect around 1.5 km of walking, including the walk up to the castle if you choose to go on foot.
- Pack for the weather. Bring water, sun protection in summer and layers on cooler days.
- Check your booking email. Confirm the meeting point, start time and your preferred way up to the castle.
