From the pink church and Triple Bridge to the market, dragons and elegant Old Town squares, this Ljubljana free walking tour connects the sights with the people and events that shaped them. Expect rich content, clear storytelling and plenty of fun.

Which departures last 90 minutes?
The 09:00 and 17:00 departures last 90 minutes. The 11:00, 15:00 and 18:00 departures normally last two hours. All departures from 1 December to 28 February last 90 minutes. Check the selected departure for its duration.

Meet at the pink church
Find us on the steps of the pink Franciscan Church in Prešeren Square, in the heart of Ljubljana.
Look for the large yellow umbrella. Please arrive a few minutes before your chosen departure.
The tour finishes at Congress Square, around a three-minute walk from the meeting point.
Good to know
Before your walk
- Rain or shine. We don’t cancel for rain. Check the forecast and bring an umbrella.
- Easy walking. About 1.5 km on a flat route with no stairs; wear comfortable shoes.
- Mobility needs? Tell us in advance so we can discuss the route.
- Come prepared. Bring water, sun protection or warm layers for the season.
- Check your departure. Confirm your date, start time and duration in the calendar.
- Larger group? Groups of 10 or more should contact us before joining.

Is the Classic Free Tour really free?
There is no fixed ticket price. The tour is tip-based: at the end, you decide what to give your guide.
How long is the tour?
Departures last 90–120 minutes, depending on the season and time. All tours from December through February last 90 minutes. Check the calendar when choosing your departure.
Does this tour go to Ljubljana Castle?
No. This walk explores the city centre and Old Town. Ask us about our other tours if you would like to visit the castle.
Where does the tour start and finish?
Meet on the pink church steps in Prešeren Square, by the large yellow umbrella. We finish at Congress Square, about a three-minute walk away.
Can I join with a group of 10 or more?
